We Are Created for Community
From the very beginning, God said: "It is not good for man to be alone" (Gen 2:18). This principle applies not only to marriage but to our entire lives. We are created for community.
Biblical Teaching on Community
Throughout the Bible, we see the importance of community. Hebrews encourages us "not giving up meeting together" (Heb 10:25). Acts describes how the early church "devoted themselves to the apostles' teaching and to fellowship" (Acts 2:42).
Practical Ways to Build Community
1. Be Present
The most important thing is simply to show up. Whether it's at Sunday meetings, small groups, or social gatherings - your presence matters.
2. Be Vulnerable
True community requires honesty. When we share our struggles and challenges, we open up for others to support us.
3. Serve Each Other
"Serve one another humbly in love" (Gal 5:13). Community is not just about receiving, but also about giving.
